Overview
The degree of electronic information engineering is an engineering technology field which combines electronic technology with information technology to construct modern information society. Electronic information technology is developing towards the direction of network, platform and intelligence, showing the characteristics of digitization, high speed, integration, multimedia, green and individuation. Microelectronics and optoelectronic technology, network and communication technology, computer technology, software technology and other professional technologies are increasingly combined and supporting each other; the boundaries between integrated circuit, system, whole machine and terminal are increasingly blurred; at the same time, more attention is paid to the close connection and cross integration of electronic information technology and emerging technologies such as biology, nano-technology and cognition, becoming the link between interdisciplinary and converging science. The professional degree of electronic information engineering relies on first-class disciplines, including information and communication engineering, electronic science and technology, computer science and technology, software engineering, instrument science and technology, and optical engineering. This professional field has a long history, since the 1930s, and it has a wide influence at home and abroad. It has the National 985 project, 211 project key construction disciplines and double first-class key construction disciplines, as well as Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education, Chongqing Key Laboratory and Engineering Center and other scientific research base platforms. It has a strong faculty, including academicians of the Chinese Academy of engineering, 973 chief scientists, outstanding young people, Yangtze River scholars, national special experts, national special support plan, thousand talents plan, and ten million talents as academic leaders. Excellent teaching staff and advanced subject platform create a good environment for training professional talents with stronger engineering practice ability. At present, it has formed four characteristic professional fields: electronic and information engineering, intelligent perception, software engineering and computer science and technology.
Admission Requirements
Applicants whose native language is not English need to provide score report of English language proficiency test (a score above IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL Internet-based 80 or equivalent), or a certificate from former university that the previous degree is taught in English, or a certificate indicating the applicants have studied in an English-speaking country for more than one year.

Credit Requirements
The credit system is implemented for the study of the Professional Master Program of Electronic information. The total credit required is no less than 28 credits, among which the Common Compulsory Courses entail at least 6 credits and Professional Compulsory Courses entail 8 credits. In addition, the 6 reports of attended academic, technical and ideological education lectures amount to 1 credit; 6-12 month-length professional practices add up to 6 credits; innovation and entrepreneurship activities are given 1 credit and thesis proposal is given 1 credit respectively.
Award of Degree
You are required to complete prescribed courses and credits, pass the examination and thesis defending and apply for the degree. After the evaluation and approval of the degree assessment committee, the professional master degree of Electronic Information can be awarded.
